Beautiful from start to finish. I think I love this movie more than anyone else in the world. It’s charming, heartwarming and endearing, but with a deep, subtle message that somehow slips in and really gives you something to think about. Paul Guilfoyle is right on target as the gruff restauranteur who turns his life around and discovers a kinder, gentler world – with the help of his newfound rag-tag group of misfit employees. Katharine Kramer is delightful as the villainous, high society ex-wife. She reminds me of a young Joan Collins from Dynasty in the ’80s. Donna Mills is solid, strong, and capable, as ever. I first saw this beautiful, lovingly crafted indie gem at a film festival last year, and was thrilled to find it here on Amazon, where I can enjoy it again and again. Beautiful music seals the deal for me, and Linda Palmer is clearly a director to watch.
